Parents' Week at TIUA

altThirty parents and family members arrived in Salem on Wednesday, Sept. 14, for Parents' Week.  They represent 16 students are who participating in the 11-month American Studies Program. The parents are staying at the Grand Hotel in downtown Salem, but are visiting classes, taking campus tours and having conferences with the professors who teach in the program.

They kicked off the visit with a dinner in the Kaneko Atrium and were warmly welcomed by TIUA and Willamette University staff and faculty members. After the official parts of the visit are over, the family members will have a chance to do some sightseeing, shopping, visit with Tomodachi program participants, watch the Willamette Bearcats football game, go to the Oregon coast, and even take in a Mariners baseball game in Seattle. They will end their stay on Monday, Sept. 19.
